1. About Us
We are Drums n Hoses Appliance Repairs (Drums n Hoses, we, us, our). We provide appliance repair services across the UK through our network of engineers.

2. These Terms
These terms apply to any repair service booked through our website, by telephone, or via any other communication method. By booking a repair with Drums n Hoses, you agree to these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to book a repair with us.
We may update these terms at any time. However, the version in place at the time of your booking will apply to your repair.
Please save or print a copy of these terms and any correspondence from us for your records.
3. The Drums n Hoses Engineer Network
Drums n Hoses operates a UK-wide network of professional appliance engineers, including:
- Drums n Hoses Engineers โ Our in-house, fully branded engineers who work directly for us.
- Approved Partner Engineers โ Trusted, vetted self-employed engineers who take work from us on a regular basis and adhere to our quality standards.
- Independent Subcontractors โ Engineers who take work on an ad-hoc basis. These engineers are independent and responsible for their own work, pricing, and guarantees.
If your repair is assigned to an Independent Subcontractor, we act as an introducer, and your contract is directly with the engineer carrying out the repair. They will be responsible for all aspects of the service, including spare parts, payments, and guarantees.
4. Booking a Repair
Booking by Telephone
When you call to enquire about a repair, we will:
โ Confirm whether we cover your area and appliance type.
โ Provide a fixed Service Charge for an engineer visit.
โ Take your booking details and allocate the visit to a qualified engineer.
Booking Online
If you book online, our system will:
โ Check your location and appliance type.
โ Display the Service Charge before you confirm your booking.
โ Allocate your repair to an available engineer.
Gas Appliances
Repairs on gas or dual-fuel appliances may require a Gas Safe Registered engineer. If gas-related work is needed and we initially send an engineer who is not Gas Safe registered, we will:
โ Reassign the repair to a Gas Safe engineer at no extra charge or
โ Cancel the repair and refund your Service Charge.
Service Charges & Callouts
๐น The Service Charge covers the engineerโs visit, diagnosis, and first attempt at repair (if possible). Spare parts are quoted separately.
๐น If your appliance is found to be Beyond Economical Repair (BER), the Service Charge remains payable.
๐น If no fault is found, or the issue is due to power, water, or drainage problems, the Service Charge remains payable.
๐น No free callouts or free estimates โ a Service Charge applies to all visits.
5. Speed of Service Delivery โ Initial Visit
We aim to provide same-day or next-day appointments where possible. However, availability may be affected by engineer workloads, holidays, or location. If we cannot offer an appointment within 48 hours, you may cancel your booking at no charge.
If an engineer arrives at the scheduled time and you are not present, we may charge you the full Service Charge for the missed visit.
We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
6. Ordering Spare Parts
If a repair requires spare parts, we will:
โ Provide a quote for the parts.
โ Order parts upon full payment of the quoted amount.
Timeframes
- In-stock parts: We aim to complete the repair within 14 days after payment.
- Out-of-stock parts: We will inform you of the estimated wait time.
Fix a Fault to Find a Fault
If a fault is repaired, but another fault becomes apparent, a further parts quote may be provided.
Obsolete or Unavailable Parts
If a part is no longer available, you may source it independently. If we fit a part you provide, it will not be covered by our guarantee.
7. Our Repair Guarantee
Repairs completed by Drums n Hoses Engineers and Approved Partner Engineers are covered by:
โ 90-day labour guarantee
โ 12-month guarantee on fitted spare parts (unless otherwise stated)
Exclusions from Our Repair Guarantee
๐ธ Blockages (e.g., in pipes or drainage)
๐ธ Refrigeration re-gassing
๐ธ Parts supplied by you
๐ธ Appliances in commercial settings
If an issue arises after a repair, we will:
โ Revisit for free if the issue is related to the original repair.
โ Charge the Service Charge if the issue is unrelated or if no fault is found.
8. Cancelling or Rescheduling a Repair
โ Free cancellation up to 9AM on the day of the visit.
โ After 9AM, the Service Charge remains payable.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Scottish law. Any disputes will be subject to the Scottish courts (or the courts of your UK region).
